▶ As a solvent, tert-butyl acetate is used in the production of paints, enamels, inks, adhesives, diluents and industrial cleaners. TBAc can also be used as a solvent for gasoline shockproof additives, chemical solvents, nitrocellulose, etc.
▶ Tert-butyl acetate is also used as an additive to improve the antiknock performance of automotive fuels.
▶ Tert-butyl acetate can be used to clean and degrease circuit boards and removing solder flux. Tert-Butyl Acetate is also used as a replacement for certain solvents within photoresist formulations which are used in semiconductor processing.
